World-Word Books: The Cupcake and the Vampire Series
WriteBooksRight announces the release of three books by its president, Alice Heiserman. The Cupcake and the Vampire: World Word-Puzzles (three books—two are word puzzles, and one is a word search).
Alice describes the purpose of the puzzle books: FUN!
The first two books were released at a party, October 19, 2024. These volumes contain more than 200 puzzles with words that are the same in meaning and spelling in English as they are in a second language—even when transcribed from another alphabet. In two volumes, words are jumbled, awaiting your decoding to reach the mystery words. The third book (due November 15) contains word searches of these words plus eponyms.
The Cupcake and the Vampire: A World-Word Puzzle Book and The Cupcake and the Vampire Strike Again: More World-Word Puzzles—Book 2 are both available now. Each book contains more than 100 puzzles based on words that are the same in English as they are in another language, such as French, Spanish, Italian, German, and other languages. They include words from non-English alphabets such as Arabic, Russian, Japanese and others transcribed into English. More than nineteen languages are featured. The words are jumbled. Your task is to unjumble each word and take one indicated letter from each word to make the mystery word at the bottom. You will be amazed at how many foreign languages you speak. Puzzles range from four-letters to monstrous twelve-letter ones in Book 2. Yes, answers are provided, but have fun, challenge yourself and see what you can do.
